Brief: A saw to accurately cut lengths and also cut angles or dock square both ends of pipe, squares, angles, round bar. Cuts must be square. The saw must have a long blade life. It must be able to cut from 20NB to 100NB pipe up to 8m long and cut +/- 60 degree cuts.

Solution: Cold saw with infeed clamp and infeed hitch stage, cold saw blade, saw blade feed stage, slew stage, outfeed hitch stage.

Controlled with a standard PC using a simple cut file format in Excel programmed by the owner.

Speed: 50 off 50NB pipe rails 2.4m long with two angle cuts at each end - 4 cuts total - time 65 seconds. Accuracy - all angles +/- 0.2 degrees, length +/- 0.2mm.
